Melbourne is where the Numac story began — As experienced drilling contractors, we’ve been providing contract drilling services to Melbourne and clients all over Victoria since 2003. Our Melbourne depot is home to a range of environmental, geotechnical and sonic drilling rigs which enables us to provide complete drilling services and solutions, including rock drilling and land contamination assessments, for all projects. DELIVERING DRILLING SOLUTIONS VICTORIA-WIDE
As Australia’s premier drilling contractors with an innovative fleet of drill rigs, Numac provides drilling services across Victoria and has an outstanding track record of managing all quality, safety and environmental requirements to the highest industry standards. We work with clients across a diverse variety of industries to deliver drilling solutions for projects such as:
Mineral exploration drilling programs
Our highly-trained operators have taken our sonic drill rigs down to over 100m in unconsolidated formations to provide full mineral sample recoveries from 0-100m. Projects include mineral exploration and large diameter bulk sampling for major mining companies.
Groundwater sampling, mapping and profiling
Our direct-push drill rigs are fitted with Geoprobe® SP16 samplers to collect groundwater samples from unconsolidated materials at depths ranging from near ground surface to over 30m. We’ve worked on a range of projects including hydrogeochemical research and groundwater resource characterisation.
Municipal water production bore drilling and installation
We work on water production projects in varying capacities, including as principal contractor on large-scale municipal water well construction projects. Clients include state-owned drinking water and wastewater companies and privately-operated water treatment plants.
