Contaminated Land Course on Hydrogeochemistry, Site Investigation and In-Situ Remediation

A new, 3h in-person course organised by Legion Drilling in Brisbane (equivalent to 6 CPD points)

Bud Ivey will join us from Canada to discuss how hydrogeochemistry can guide in-situ remediation efforts and present new surfactant-based technology for PFAS recovery

Following the success of our remediation workshops last October, we are coming back with a new free course on hydrogeochemistry and in-situ remediation.

 George (Bud) Ivey will visit us from Canada to share his 35-year experience in in-situ remediation and explore how to resolve hydrogeochemical constraints for enhanced remediation of petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, and PFAS. This will be a unique opportunity to learn about PFAS-SOL, a surfactant-based technology to remove PFAS from soil and groundwater. Find more information on this magazine article.

 Our Direct Sensing Manager Jonas Garcia-Rincon will emphasise the importance of multiphase mechanics in NAPL distribution and will discuss its implications in conventional investigations, HRSC, and in-situ remediation. He will present how to address these issues through adaptive site investigations and targeted, high-energy injection of remedial amendments.

 This course will serve as a snippet of what you could find in the next Battelle's Chlorinated Conference in Denver, CO, where Bud and Jonas will lead two separate courses on site investigation and remediation.
